I made a point to allow extra time to “catch up on some sleep” today. I feel asleep as soon as I got home from work but only slept a couple of hours. I woke up with zero motivation and the inability to sleep on. I tried to read but I couldn’t get into it. I just lay there and listened to myself breath for four hours. I can’t seem to shake off that funk tonight.

I have been thinking a lot about this new fish. I find it disturbing. It’s skull is clear. Those green spheres are it’s eyes which are pointed upwards and looking through it’s clear skull. Those circles where it’s eyes should be are it’s nostrils. Very disturbing.

Well people it is the end of a very long work week for me. My hands are red and bleeding from too many hand washings. Medical personal can measure time in terms of hand washings. It was bizarre, too. For instance- this morning I had to kick a visitor out while he was visiting his severely demented wife. Why? He was observed taking a pull from a vodka bottle. At least it wasn’t ugly. He was embarrassed, apologetic. I disclosed about my history and said “if anyone understood, it was me.” Then there was the coworker whom had to be explained how and why the term “Jew them down” was offencive. Mind you, she was not being in any way facetious. She was being ignorant and bigoted and did not even realize it. Scary. There was the aid (who is no long with us) that though it was funny to bounce a dead patients head on his bed like a basket ball. Yeah, it really has been a hell of a week…

SO I am going to WB for a few days. Help out my Parents, split some wood, eat a slice of pizza, read some books and do my best to forget this feeling for awhile!!!
